Edna A. (Buchheit) Taylor went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas. Edna was born in Apple Creek, Missouri, on February 19, 1921, to Benjamin and Rosa (Ponder) Buchheit. She grew up on a farm with her eight siblings before moving to St. Louis during WWII.
Edna loved to garden and was involved at Holy Trinity Church with a group of volunteers called the "Garden Angels" who maintained the church gardens and landscape. Her priorities were God, her family and being kind and generous to everyone she met. She moved to San Antonio in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph E. Taylor. She is survived by her sons, Gordon and wife Sue of San Antonio, Texas, and Barry and wife Holly of Orlando, Florida. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Kristyn Odom and husband Ben of Dallas, Texas, and Haley, Regan and Ryan Taylor of Orlando, Florida.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, mother-in-law, and friend.
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in St. Ann, Missouri.
