On May 30, 2014, Margaret Etta Chowning went home to be with our Lord leaving behind a loving family so grateful for her love and care. Margaret was born and raised in Southeast Missouri. She married Clyde Chowning on August 18, 1941, in Springfield, Missouri, and they shared a life together for sixty-four years. She and her husband owned Chowning Construction Company in Enid, Oklahoma, until retiring in 1982, to spend twenty years on a lake in Minnesota. She later moved to Pampa, Texas, and finally to Boerne, Texas, in 2008, to be near family.
They were blessed with two children: Larry Chowning and wife Kaye of Phoenix, Arizona, and Dorla McAndrew and late husband Jack of Boerne, Texas. She leaves behind four grandchildren: Troy and Ty Chowning of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as Jackie McGrady of Melissa, Texas, and Mitzi Hallmark and late husband Troy of Boerne, Texas. In addition, she leaves behind eight great-grandchildren: Taylre Chowning, Riley Chowning, Cooper Chowning, Zoe Chowning, and Eli Chowning, Chris Malone, Haley Hallmark, and Mattie McGrady.
