Florence (Fischer) Lux passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014. She lived a long, good life having just celebrated her 93rd birthday. She was born in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Edwin and Meta Fischer on May 17, 1921.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland Lux; her son, Dale Lux; and her sisters, Ellen Crenwelge and Doris Cook.

She is survived by her son Dennis Lux and his wife Shirley. She was blessed with five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy.

Florence met Roland at a dance in Luckenbach, Texas, while he was on leave from the US Navy. They married and lived out their lives on their ranch in Kendalia, Texas. Florence and Roland celebrated 66 years of marriage before his death in 2012. Florence was known for her cooking and loved to bless others with delicious meals. She loved the color red and she let everyone around her know it. She enjoyed music and would often sing and tap her foot along with the music. Her wit and love of life will be missed by everyone.

The family would like to thank the staff at CareChoice of Boerne and Heart to Heart Hospice. They took Florence under their wings as if she were their own. Also a special thanks to Tammy Galland for providing care to Florence and Roland in their home.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice. To leave condolences for the family, please visit www.ebensberger-fisher.com and select the Obituaries tab.
