Donna Lou was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on April 1, 1935, and went to be with her parents and The Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2014.

Donna graduated from Ponca High in 1953. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Oklahoma State University and had a rewarding career as an elementary school teacher in Oklahoma, Texas, and Nevada. Her honors included American Legion Citizenship Award, Fiesta Queen, Basketball Queen, Redskin Yearbook Beauty Queen and she was Chaplain and Courtesy Chairman of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

Donna was married to the late Dr. Charles "Lew" Blood, also of Ponca City. She is survived by her son, Christopher Blood and his wife Mary of San Antonio, Texas, and her two grandchildren, Christopher Brandon Blood and Britney Lynn Blood.

Donna was a loving mother and grandmother, and a strong and devoted Christian.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Susan G.
