Pat Hawkins Cunningham went home to meet her heavenly Father at the age of 73 on Saturday, December 28, 2013. She was born in Friona, Texas, on February 6, 1940, to Dollie and Clarence Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 15 years, Jim Cunningham.

Pat attended school at Lubbock High, Texas Tech, and the University of Houston. She was an educator for over 45 years and received many awards. She was a teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and principal in the Alief School District. She was very passionate about helping all children learn.

Pat was a great cook and enjoyed reading. She was such a great friend, her friends would regularly travel from Houston to visit her in Boerne. Her caregivers described her as a porcelain doll. Pat may have been dainty, but her strength was mighty. Pat walked with the Lord and was a very active member of the Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston. After moving to Boerne, she liked to go to First Baptist Church with her family. She enjoyed spending time with family and she loved, loved, loved her grandkids.

Pat was married to Billy Ray, the father of her children, for twenty-eight years. She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Morgan and husband Bill of Boerne and Becca Lewis and husband Wess of Kingwood, Texas. Also, grandchildren: Scott Morgan, Christy McGinnis and husband Colby, Mandy Morgan, Dustin Morgan, Emily Lewis andEvan Lewis.

A memorial service was held December 30, 2013, at Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston. Her final resting place is with her husband Jim at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
