Alvina "Vina" Jo Roberts Marchant went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 28, 2013, in Boerne at the age of 68. She was born in Wellington, Texas, on March 20, 1945, to Francis and Hughetta Roberts. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Vina is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dean Marchant of Boerne; her son, Darin Marchant and wife Shelley of Boerne; her daughter, Nikki Ahrens and husband Keith of Kerrville; her 3 grandchildren, Wyatt, Reese, and Amanda; her brothers, Neal Roberts and wife Kay of Big Spring, Roland Roberts of Comanche, and Ronnie Roberts of Venice Beach, CA; her sister, Cindy Reed and husband Kent of MO; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

Vina loved to cook huge meals with Thanksgiving being her favorite. She was an amazing seamstress who made wedding and bridesmaids' dresses for several family friends. She endured camping and snow ski trips to be with her family even though they weren't her favorite. She was very involved with her Sunday school class at Village Parkway Baptist Church in San Antonio. Her whole entire life, Vina was a living testament and truly a servant of the Lord.

A visitation was held Tuesday, October 29, 2013. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Boerne Cemetery.
