Marie Annette Leinneweber Gearhart passed away the morning of Sunday, August 25, 2013, at the age of 73. She was born in Dilley, Texas, on July 1, 1940, as one of seven children to Charles and Jewell Leinneweber. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Dorothy Leinneweber, Genie Bartholomew, and Nina Mae Leinneweber; and her only brother, Charles "Sonny" Leinneweber, Jr.

Marie enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and Bingo. She liked going on long trips with her family. Before retiring, she worked at Flagstop Cafe. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her immense joy. Marie was a devoted wife and wonderful mother and grandmother who put everyone's needs above her own.

Marie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Woodrow H. Gearhart of Boerne; her children Sandra Craft of Boerne, Margret Hines and husband Bobby of Doniphan, Missouri, Steve Gearhart and wife Alice of Boerne, Woodrow E. Gearhart and wife Cheryl of San Antonio, and Terry Gearhart and wife Pam of San Antonio; and her sisters Katie Miller of Cibolo, Texas, and Loretta Orsburn of Kansas. Marie was blessed with grandchildren Fallon (Frank), Jason (Jennifer), Michael (Jackie), Shane, Cassie (Ben), Ivory, Cecilia (Matt), and Lily and great grandchildren Nola, Aiden, Benjamin, Dakota, Elliott, and Brynlee.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, August 30, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home with interment following at the Boerne Cemetery.
