Kenneth "Ken" Lysle Strait passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at the age of 51. He was born in Cooperstown, New York on June 11, 1962, to Charles Strait and Judith Thorn Jackson. He is preceded in death by his father.

Ken is survived by his sons, Zachary and Kolby Strait; his mother and stepfather, David and Judith Jackson; his sister, Katherine Nichols and husband Brian of Otego, New York; his grandmother, Emily Thorn of Hartwick, New York; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and his special uncle, Jack Thorn.

Ken served in the United States Army for 8 years. He was on the Army Rifle Shooting Team for 6 of those years. Ken started and operated Strait's Pressure Cleaning based out of San Antonio. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing with his sons. Ken was a generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
