Steven "Steve" David Shields passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013. He was 58 years old. He was born in San Antonio on July 1, 1954, to Milton and Virginia Shields. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Pamela.

Steve is survived by his children Melissa Lee Shields and Scott David Shields of Boerne; his brother Ted Shields and wife Sandy of Georgia; his great uncle and aunt, Merrill and Billie Moxon of San Antonio; and his "adopted daughter" Tammy Waters and husband Sean of Boerne and their son Dolyn.

Steve was a San Antonio Police Officer for 29 years. He retired in 2004 and started working as a 911 Dispatcher at the Boerne Police Department. He had been with them ever since. Steve was a proud member of the San Antonio Parrot Heads Club.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2013, from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home with the funeral starting at 11:00. Interment will follow at the Boerne Cemetery.
