David William Behr, Sr. passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the age of 68. He was born in Texarkana on July 30, 1944, to William and Lily Behr. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Hunter Niedziejko.

David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mildred Behr of Boerne; his children Michelle Niedziejko and husband Martin of Dickinson, David Behr, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Browns Mills, NJ, and Heather Behr and husband Abel Hidalgo of Comfort; his brother, Dwight Behr and wife Barbara of Corpus Christi; his sister, Donna Stewart and husband Lennox of Boerne; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. David was blessed with 5 grandchildren, 1 in heaven and 4 on Earth: Hunter, Bryce, Colten, Sophia, and Emma.

David served in the United States Marine Corp for 30 years, retiring as a Sergeant Major. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He cherished the times he would spend with his family.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home.
