Janet Ann Bupp Stein passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, in Boerne. She was 69 years old. She was born in York County, Pennsylvania on July 10, 1943, to Michael and Janet Bupp. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Ruth Wright and Nancy Knight.

Janet graduated from the Harrisburg School of Nursing in Pennsylvania in 1964. She held various nursing positions and retired from nursing as the Administrator of Harrison House Nursing Home in 1990. Janet was an avid reader. She was an active church member all of her life and held various church positions over the years.

Janet is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, Donald Stein of Boerne; her son Steve Stein and wife Clare of Dallas; her daughter Sharon Malthaner and husband Scott of Boerne; her grandchildren Ryan, Patrick, Abby and Michael; her brother Michael Bupp and wife Charlotte of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; and her sister Linda Leitzel and husband Tom of McAlisterville, Pennsylvania.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Presbyterian Church.
