Caroline Louise Milam Sampsel (affectionately known as GG, Granny, and Mom) went to be with Jesus the morning of Sunday, January 13, 2013, in Boerne at the age of 95. She was born December 21, 1917, in Roann, Indiana to Levi and Bertha Milam. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer Sampsel, her son Larry Burnworth, and her six siblings.
Caroline was a humble, hard-working woman who touched the lives of many with her quick wit and genuine and generous nature.
Caroline is survived by her daughter Marilyn Carney; her granddaughters, Angie Carney and Kristin Duennenberg and husband John; and her great grandchildren Justin and Jacob Bates and JJ and Clarissa Duennenberg. She also leaves behind many friends who will deeply miss her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home.
