Jack Insall Newton was born on November 1, 1926, in Brownwood, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2012, in Leon Springs, Texas.
Jack was preceded in death by a baby daughter, his mother Caroline Insall Newton Schwethelm, his father Frank Newton, Sr., his stepfather Leroy Schwethelm, his brother Frank Newton, Jr., and his wife Rose Nell Feller Newton.
Jack is survived by his sister-in-law June Newton, his nephews John and Frank, and his nieces Caroline, Mary, and Nancy. Jack is also survived by two daughters, Robin (Paul) Tuttle and Maria (Jessie) Moreno; two granddaughters, Lauren (Justin) Stumberg and Bailey Tuttle; and one great granddaughter, Dylan Stumberg. Along with his own family, Jack has a host of family from his wife Rose Nell.
Jack was in the Navy and the Air Force, serving in World War II. After the service, he worked in the printing industry. He started with the Davis Family at the Boerne Star and went on to work for the Light and the Express News from which he retired.
Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2012, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Boerne Cemetery on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Church at Boerne at 100 N.
