Obituary:

Rider Monroe-Gray Vroman died in his home in Boerne, TX at the age of only six weeks on March 6, 2012. Rider was born January 23, 2012, in San Antonio to loving parents Whitney and Chris Vroman and big sister Scout Vroman of Boerne, TX. Rider was a happy, active baby who loved being cuddled by his big sister, parents, family, and friends. He loved playing with those close to him as well as long stroller rides through rugged terrain.

Rider is survived by his parents Whitney and Chris, sister Scout Kay-Annilee Vroman (19 months), grandparents Kay Alexander of San Antonio, Carol Vroman of Rapid City, SD, and Paul Alexander of McAllen, TX, great-grandparents Mickey and Betty Goolsby of Temple, TX, and Gene Patterson of Rapid City, SD, aunt Koi Wallace of San Antonio, uncle Billy Wallace of San Antonio, uncle Chuck Vroman of Natalia, TX, and cousins Sara Sebastian of San Antonio, Shelby Shackelford of San Antonio, Alyise Shackelford of San Antonio, Leila Wallace of San Antonio, Andrew Wallace of San Antonio, Brody Hulsey of San Antonio, and Aimee Sperling of Rapid City, SD, great-aunt Ann Trechak of Wichita, KS, great-uncle, Mike Goolsby of Temple, TX, and great-aunt Cindy Goolsby of Temple, TX. Rider is preceded in death by grandfather Gary Vroman of Rapid City, SD, great-grandmother Maxine Patterson of Rapid City, SD, great-grandfather William Alexander of Lockhart, TX, and great-grandmother Loraine Alexander of Lockhart, TX.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 5834 Ray Ellison Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78242. Rider’s life was short, precious, and a gift to all whose lives he touched. You will always be in our hearts and minds. You will be missed constantly until we reunite.
