Anita Bechtold Laubach passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010, at the age of 89 in New Braunfels. She was born on March 1, 1921, in Honey Creek, TX to William and Christina Scheel Bechtold. She lived her whole life within 3 miles of where she was born. She was one of the oldest, continuous members of the St. Joseph Honey Creek Catholic Church.
Mrs. Laubach is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edgar Laubach, her daughter Mary Jane Strupp, her son Edgar Laubach, Jr., her granddaughter Melissa Strupp, her daughter-in-law Lynne Krakau Laubach, her grandson-in-law William Brumbelow, and her great grandson William Brumbelow, Jr.
Anita is survived by: her daughters Arlene Ann Eickmann and her husband William Otto, and Caroline Marie Craze and her husband Robert George; her son Willard John Laubach; and her son-in-law Kenneth Strupp; and her grandchildren Suzanne Brumbelow (Mark), Rebecca Christianson (Grant), Christine Graf, Gary Craze (Susan), Elizabeth Lett (Gary), Laurie Laubach, and Stacey Laubach. Anita was blessed with great grandchildren Racheal, William, Audrey, Peyton, Rowen, Tait, Micheal, Emily, Alyssa, Shelby, Aaron, and Connor. She also leaves behind her special friends Jorge and Virginia Cabrera and their children Donna and Nelson.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, from 5-7 PM with the Rosary being recited at 6PM at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at 10 AM at the historic St. Joseph Catholic Church at Honey Creek. Interment will follow at Honey Creek Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the cure for alzheimers, Catholic Daughters, or the charity of your choice.
