Margie Ranzau, nee Sullivan, died on November 22, 2010, at the age of 86. She was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to John and Eudora Sullivan on December 15, 1923. Her parents died when she was a child, and so she was raised by the Sisters in a Catholic school in Wichita, Kansas. She went on to become a Registered Nurse. In 1946, she married Harold Ranzau, and became a farm and ranch wife on the Ranzau Ranch near Boerne. She also worked for a while at the Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio and the Hilltop Nursing Home in Boerne. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Boerne.

She is survived by her husband Harold Ranzau of Boerne, her daughter Paula Jenniges and her husband Michael of Austin, her son Ray Ranzau and his wife Cathleen of San Antonio, her son Joseph Ranzau of Boerne, and 6 grandchildren.
