Obituary:

Cynthia Anne Ribar passed away on September 10, 2010, in San Antonio, TX at the age of 74. She was born on March 13, 1936, in Chicago, IL to Robert and Dolly Crotty.

Cynthia was preceded in death just two months ago by her husband of 50 years, David. She is survived by her children David C. Ribar and his wife Catherine of Greensboro, NC, Cheryl Rodenfels and her husband Clint of Boerne, TX, Melissa Brothers and her husband Brian of Boerne, TX, and John Ribar and his wife Becky of San Diego, CA. She was blessed with four grandchildren: David T. and Matthew Ribar, Quinnlan Goernert, and Logan Brothers.

Along with raising her children, Cynthia worked for several companies including Braniff Airlines in Chicago, Perez Acres Real Estate in Yigo, Guam, and Bank of Virginia, Signet Bank and Eastern/Continental Airlines all in Virginia. She was strong in her faith and participated in church events which included teaching CCD. Cynthia enjoyed traveling, living at the beach, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010, from 5-7 PM at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Leon Springs. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
