Richard Bernard Travelbee passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010, in San Antonio at the age of 75. He was born to Elmer and Grace Travelbee on August 18, 1934, in Coldwater, Michigan. His parents and one sister precede him in death.
Mr. Travelbee proudly served his country for 20 years in the US Navy and was active during the Korean War. He owned a dental laboratory in Ft. Collins, Colorado for 26 years. He was an animal lover and made the land next to his home a registered animal refuge. Richard liked to bowl, throw darts, and play cards when he could. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his favorite thing was to travel with his wife.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Ophelia Travelbee, two sisters, and two brothers. He also leaves behind precious neighbors and many friends.
A memorial service will be held for Richard on Monday, May 10, 2010, at 10 AM in the Day Chapel of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Cummins as celebrant.
