Violet Annis Asher left this world on May 7, 2009, in Boerne. She was born on August 12, 1912, in Kendalia to Simon and Willie Schneider. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dallas “Bud” Asher; her sister, Emma Langford; her brothers, Bill and Simon Jr.; and her two of her grandchildren, D.R. and Lance.

Mrs. Asher lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of her 96 years. She owned and operated the Elite Café in Boerne for many years. In her later years, she loved going to the Rainbow Center and enjoyed playing dominoes.

Violet was as loving a mom as there ever was to her three children. She is survived by all of them; her daughters, Doris Blair and her husband J.D. of Boerne, and Vernelle Minor and her husband Dale of Harper, TX.; and her son, Delmar L. Asher of Boerne. Her surviving precious grandchildren are Debbie, Donna, Keith, Laurie, and Tammy. She was also blessed with 5 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Asher on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at 10AM at the Boerne Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wade Smith, Brandon Smith, Rick Metters, Keith Blair, Dylan Aldrete, and Richard Hanson.
