Wayne Richardson Wright, of Kendalia, Tx. passed away Sunday April 5, 2009 in Alice, Tx. at the age of 75. He was born October 23, 1933, in San Antonio to Raymond and Gladys Wright.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Julia “Aline” Herrin Wright; son Kevin Wayne Wright of Kendalia, Tx; and Richard Wright and wife Susan of Sandia, Tx. He was blessed with 2 beautiful grandchildren. Shelby and Remington are the children of Richard and Susan.

Wayne was a hard worker who became a supervisor for Cody Company, a sheet metal company. He worked there for over 30 years. He helped to establish and also volunteered for the Kendalia Volunteer Fire Department. Wayne enjoyed being a rancher, a fisherman, and a hunter and as well as racing cars in his younger days.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 8, from 5-7PM at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, at 2PM at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard E. Wright, Howard Bottles, Kevin Wright, Sanford Jennings, Ben Cravey, and Bruce Biediger. Donations in honor of Wayne may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
